Shipping Policy

Delivery Model

Lettuce Eat operates a consolidated, batch-based delivery model. All meals for the day are dispatched during our single designated afternoon delivery window. We operate on a shared, route-based delivery model — making it operationally infeasible to offer customized delivery timings for individual orders.

Please Note: Lettuce Eat does not operate on Sundays. Meal plans are delivered Monday through Saturday only. Plan validity and subscription days are calculated accordingly.

Delivery Window

Subscribers are expected to be present and available to receive their meals during the delivery window. Our delivery partner will wait a maximum of 10–15 minutes at the delivery address. If no response is received within this window, the delivery will be marked as completed and the meals will not be re-delivered or compensated.

In the event of delays caused by factors outside our control — such as traffic disruptions, severe weather, or vehicle issues — deliveries may arrive within the extended threshold stated above. No compensation or replacement will be offered in such circumstances.

Order Cut-Off Policy

To maintain kitchen efficiency and the freshness of every meal, Lettuce Eat enforces a strict cut-off time of 6:00 PM. Any requests for changes — including meal swaps, skips, or address updates — received after this time cannot be guaranteed for the following day. Requests submitted post-cut-off will be accommodated only on a best-effort basis. No compensation will be issued for changes communicated after the deadline.

Change Requests & Cut-Off Policy

All change requests — including meal substitutions, delivery address updates, and skip days — must be submitted at least one day prior, before 2:00 PM.

  • Requests received after the 2:00 PM cut-off will be accommodated only on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed.
  • Same-day change requests for afternoon deliveries are strongly discouraged and cannot be confirmed.
  • If the kitchen has already dispatched a meal before receiving a late change request, that meal will not be replaced or carried forward.
  • Delivery address changes submitted after 2:00 PM for the next delivery, or on the morning of delivery itself, will not be processed. The meal will be sent to the last confirmed address on file.

Meal Plan Adjustments & Delivery Charges

Subscribers may request changes to the number of meals delivered per day during an active plan:

  • Reducing the daily meal count (e.g., from 3 meals to 1 meal per day) will automatically extend the subscription duration to account for the total meals committed at sign-up.
  • An additional delivery charge of ₹50 per extended day will apply in such cases.
  • Alternatively, a subscriber may choose to reduce the total meal count proportionally — eliminating extra delivery days and the associated surcharge.

Force Majeure

Lettuce Eat shall bear no liability for delivery delays or cancellations caused by circumstances entirely outside our operational control. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather events, waterlogging, vehicle breakdowns, road closures, civil disturbances, or acts of God. In such cases, no meal credits, replacements, or refunds will be issued. We will always communicate disruptions proactively whenever possible.
